Seniors, welcome to what could be your last Friday here. If you did not attend Senior Academic Awards earlier this month, you must pick up your honor cord in the counseling office before signing out next week.  Cords will not be delivered to is your responsibility to come and pick it up.

And speaking of responsibility, SENIORS If you need to earn back time, tomorrow is your LAST CHANCE. Be sure to sign up in your grade office today!

If you stopped in the main office this morning looking for your glasses, come on back, as some others were turned in.

From Mrs Walker in the Learning Commons, SYNC is a program that offers 2 free downloadable audio books a week over the summer months.  Get the OverDrive app on your smartphone and then easily download and listen to books all summer long.  In addition to the app, you can find information at or .  See Mrs Walker if you have any questions.  

To accommodate senior breakfast, Empowered Club will meet on Monday instead of Tuesday next week. Come in for special breakfast treats to honor our graduating members and also to pick up your Black History Month assembly DVD if you were a participant. Student Senate ballot petitions are due today by 3pm and voting will take place online next week.

Did you go to Amberly Elementary?  Principal Mary Daoust is retiring this year and her school is hosting a retirement open house in the Amberly gym on Tuesday May 23rd from 6-8:30p.  If you’d like to wish her well, please stop by.

The Portage Women’s Lacrosse team beat Kalamazoo United Wednesday evening 22-2.  Wish the players luck as they now head into the playoff season.

Varsity softball split with Mattawan, winning game one 8-4, and losing game two 6-4.  In game one, Deborah Torres was the winning pitcher and Paige Poulter hit a 3 run homer.  The Huskies are now 21-9 on the season.
