Grad Bash is a parent-chaperoned, all night post-graduation party held immediately following our Graduation ceremony). The transportation, food, entertainment and prizes are provided while keeping the event safe, alcohol/drug free and totally fun! The location of the party is kept secret from the students to heighten the level of excitement. (This also prevents opportunities for uninvited, non-Portage Northern students to attend.)
Historically, Grad Bash has always been a huge success, and thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated by the students. While there will be many graduation parties throughout the weeks following graduation, this event is unique in bringing together the entire graduating class, for probably the last time. Additionally, there is no other night that carries more momentum for young people to act impulsively. It is our goal to help our graduates capture all that energy and enthusiasm by providing them with a fun, yet safe venue at which they can celebrate, relax and have a genuinely good time.
The chairpersons for the 2017 Grad Bash are Janet Wieber and Jeanne Trompeter.
Meetings will be held at 7:00pm on the 2nd Monday of each month in the Community Room unless specified otherwise here:
October 17, 6:15pm
December 12, Media Center

We need parents to donate goodies (sign up here) and students to sell said goodies on both evenings (sign up here). Students, if you’re wondering, this does qualify as community service hours. Here is a full flyer with more details.
